Christmas and the New Year’s parties are over, and we can now spend the rest of the month trying to recover. It will be easier to be good as soon as all the cakes and drinks are out of sight, but who knows, how are we going to get rid of all the rubbish we have collected over the past month or so.The important function lymph nodes play in our bodies
Luckily, our body is the ultimate survival machine, and it has all kinds of amazing systems built in to cope with our daily sins and lifestyle choices. Another year is over. Can you believe that? It was only like
yesterday when we were planning all that awesome stuff we were going to do and
achieve in the New Year 2015, and we're sitting down with our yearly planners,
counting our blessings already.
Was it a successful year? Or was it at least rich in
lessons? Sometimes it is hard to see the bright side of the situation,
especially when we are playing the main part, but trust me, those are your
future memories, those gems from your past that you will be telling your kids
about. Well, let's try to remember that next time things go wrong.
Do you do the New Year's resolutions? What is your success
rate? Some of us just have the standard ones that keep being pushed forward
from one year to the next, and they kind of get forgotten by the second week of
January, and some others have a clear militaristic plan of achievements, and
they don't end the year without having it all ticked off. (Respect guys)
As I am neither of these types, I had to come up with a very
individual approach. My ego doesn't really like me failing at stuff, but trust
me, I love winning, and enjoy success in any shape or form. So from 2008 on, I
just came up with a different strategy. Strategy of motivation and full
control, without the possibility of failing.
Every year, I just take the last numbers of the year, the
next year being 2016, and give
myself a task of trying 16 new things. I can tell you it was a lot easier in
2008, but I really wonder how active my 2070 will have to be :D I am really
flexible with this, some of the things I just try and decide never to do them
again, but at least I know now, and some slowly turn out to be my new habits
and help me live a better life.
This way we have done things, been to places, climbed
mountains, tried sports, eaten all kinds of things, and our lives are getting
richer day by day. As you know, time flies, and more often than not, I find
myself mid-September, wondering how am I doing, if I'm hitting the target, and have
another look around to see what else could we try this year.
However you approach this delicate time of the year, my wish for you is to love yourself, be kind and patient and don't let things that are supposed to make you happy, stress you out.

It is a well known fact that massage is an
essential part of a recovery and maintenance of a healthy body in our modern
busy lives. It not only relieves the stress and tension and improves healing of

Deep tissue massage is exactly what it says on the

lower back-leg chronic pain. Sciatica is generally a term that comprises all of
those pains that are ''shooting'' from your spine, into your lower back,

It is a condition mostly caused by a disc bulging out from between the
vertebrae, pressing onto the sciatic nerve causing a constant excruciating

The answer to this lies in the lifestyle you lead. Our body has been
designed to handle quite a lot, for quite a long time too, but nowadays, more

Summer is here and so for some, the dreaded Hay Fever
As the temperature rises, more and more people all over the world are
dreading this beautiful season. Hay fever is a real mood killer when it comes
to those warm BBQ nights.
If you're not a sufferer, you probably don't really know what the fuss
is all about.
So what exactly is Hay Fever? "Pollen
is the name given to the fine powder that is produced by plants, trees and
flowers to fertilise other plants, trees or flowers of the same species"Patient Info ".

that can cause the nose, eyes, throat and sinuses (small air filled cavities
behind your cheekbones and forehead) to become swollen, irritated and inflamed"NHS UK.
Grass pollen is the most common cause of Hay Fever from spring to early
summer however many people are also affected by tree and weed pollen at
different times of the year. Alas for the
unlucky ones, Hay Fever can be a problem
almost all year round, and it can be very uncomfortable and debilitating.It is
your body's self defence against the enemy. It's a shame that sometimes our
good old body gets confused and mistakes something really harmless for a deadly
threat, and starts the whole military operation.
What are the symptoms and why do
Hay Fever is often mistaken for a cold because the symptoms are very
similar, that of having a runny, stuffy and blocked nose, sneezing, itching,
and sore eyes. Symptoms occur, because

Hello there beautiful people!
I got an interesting question recently. ''Haven’t you put on
a bit of weight since I’ve seen you last time (almost 5 years ago)?'' Obviously
at the time I went into automatic self-defence mode, and it made me look into
the mirror once or twice. And then it hit me!
Is this what we need young girls to feel like? I am a grown
up woman, and I have done a whole lot of personal re-development in last few
years. I would say I am pretty happy with who I am now, and where I am heading.
I do work that I absolutely love, I get at least 7 hours of good sleep every
night, I eat regularly, and I choose the best of what my body needs. I do have
a walk every day, I play squash or tennis 4 times a week, with people who like
me for who I am.
My BMI and weight are still in the lower bit of HEALTHY
levels, but most of the days I do manage to hit the amount of calories to keep
my body happy and fully functional. I get on with loads of work, and I take on
any new challenge I find interesting and fun.
Would I swap with my 24 year old me? Let me tell you that I
would NEVER! This poor kid had just started exploring her own qualities and
values, after years of being trapped in soul destroying job, constantly
punishing her body for not measuring up to other people’s expectations, not
even realizing, how many dreams and desires she still had.
No, I would never want
to be seriously underweight again. And I wouldn’t want to be 18, and I
wouldn’t want to be getting up in the middle of the night again, to go to work
I don’t enjoy anymore. And no, I wouldn’t want to have my friends that left me
when I needed them.
And I honestly don’t think I should want any of those
things. There is no way to send a grown-up back to nursery, just because they
were a lot cuter back then, and when we outgrow our former self, we should feel
free to enjoy who we became, without having to find excuse.
So what I would say to the young, the old, the pregnant, the retired and all the other girls don’t let anyone destroy your self-love. Most people’s reality
is constantly being distorted by ads, magazines, Barbie dolls and half naked
music videos, so we can’t blame them for not recognizing a real human body when
they see one.

We will just get together and support each other in what we like to do. We will
play loads of games, do sports together, organize days out, and explore stuff

The winter is long gone, and all the love birds are quite happy to get married this time of the year! And yes, we were there last week, to make their big planning a little less stressful :)
Glasses of bubbly waiting at the door, to welcome the excited brides-to-be, Shiny white veteran car nicely polished outside on the lawn, ready in case someone was spontaneous enough to tie the knot there and then, and our Travel Counsellor Sharon Court ready to book them a super-romantic honeymoon in a blink of an eye.
Soothing tunes of a petit Georgia Singer have filled the whole Discovery Centre at the Stockwood Park, complementing the magical atmosphere. Vicky Richman and her team from Luton Culture have done a great job, if it has a Wedding in the name, you could find it there. Music, lights, flowers, dresses, jewellery, or my amazing range of healthy beauty products, all in their spots.
If you were dedicated enough to make it all the way up the hill, despite the pressure of responsibilities of the election day, you got a great treat. Raffles and competitions, cool and funky ideas and accessories, all set in a dreamy backdrop of one of our biggest and nicest parks.

Many of us are going to celebrate next Wednesday! You might be asking why now. Well, it is gonna be a No Smoking Day! I know it must be great never to have smoked, but for us that have fallen into this trap once, it is hard to get out without a lot of support, strong will and motivation.
